Kicking Off the Festivities

The weekend begins with the D9 Takeover at Park on 14th. Starting at 7 PM, the venue at 920 14th St NW will host a Happy Hour Mixer from 7 PM to 10 PM, followed by a Night Party from 10 PM to 3 AM. This event, featuring DJs like DJ CAMO and DJ QUICK SILVA, will be a high-energy start to the festival.

Saturday Highlights

On Saturday, August 10th, the festivities continue with the Black Alumni Hike at Alethia Tanner Park. Participants will meet up at 10 AM for a hike that begins at 10:30 AM, covering an easy 3-mile distance. This health and fitness event encourages attendees to represent their colleges and connect over a shared love for fitness and nature.

Later that morning, from 11 AM to 1:30 PM, the Day of Service College Fair at Sycamore & Oak will take place. This event is designed for incoming high school juniors and seniors in the DMV area, offering valuable resources and information about college preparation. Hosted by Dominique Da Diva, Marky Marc Who You Wit, and Khadijah Corrie, the fair will feature sounds by top Greek DJs and numerous black-owned dessert and food vendors.

Main Event: Black Greek Festival

The highlight of the weekend, the Black Greek Festival, will be held from 2 PM to 9 PM at Sycamore & Oak. This event is open to all, Greeks and non-Greeks alike, and promises a day of non-stop fun and entertainment. The festival will feature 50+ vendors, outdoor games, fun zones, multiple bars, live activations, and art. Attendees can look forward to mingling with Greek personalities and special guests, all while enjoying a vibrant atmosphere celebrating Greek culture, unity, and community inclusion.

Official After Parties

To cap off the evening, attendees with BGF24 wristbands can enjoy free entry until midnight to two official after parties: one at Focus from 10 PM to 3 AM, and another at Lost Society from 10 PM to 3 AM. These parties will provide the perfect setting to continue the celebration in style.

The weekend concludes on Sunday, August 11th, with the D9 Brunch & Day Party at Park on 14th. The brunch begins at 11 AM, followed by a day party at 4 PM. Reservations for brunch must be made through Park on 14th’s website.
