Prince George’s County Welcomes Heaven’s Hands Wellness-A Black-Owned, Husband-and-Wife Assisted Living Opening August 22

In Prince George’s County, a new chapter in senior wellness is beginning. On August 22nd, Heaven’s Hands Wellness will open its doors—marking the debut of a residential care space designed to support aging adults with a focus on calm, dignity, and connection. The facility is led by Flora and Beks Amadi, a husband-and-wife team whose professional backgrounds in media, real estate, and finance combine to create a family-first wellness experience for older adults.

For many in the region, the idea of wellness is often tied to fitness centers or medical offices. Heaven’s Hands Wellness takes a different approach. The space is intimate and intentionally non-clinical. It offers chair movement sessions, guided journaling, and small group conversations—all built to be gentle, adaptable, and culturally grounded.

The Amadis, both first-generation West Africans, designed the experience based on what they felt was missing in the broader wellness and elder care landscape. Flora previously ran the lifestyle brand Go With the Flo™, which focused on wellness, expression, and personal growth. Beks, a Bowie State University graduate with a background in finance and operations, used his strategic mindset to help turn their shared vision into a sustainable model. Together, they wanted to create a space that felt more like a calm home than a rigid institution.

“We didn’t build this to feel like a program. We built it to feel like a hug,” Flora said. “Every senior deserves to age with dignity, joy, and connection.”

Heaven’s Hands Wellness does not operate as a replacement for existing medical services or senior living staff. Instead, it serves as a supplement designed to provide emotional care and light movement that enhances the well-being of participants without disrupting their routines. Sessions can be delivered onsite at the new facility or at partner locations throughout the region.

The opening of the space comes at a time when Prince George’s County is looking for more accessible wellness options for its aging population. Community care remains a priority across agencies, churches, and local nonprofits, especially for older residents of color who may feel overlooked or underserved by mainstream offerings. Heaven’s Hands Wellness adds a local, culturally mindful solution to this landscape, led by people who understand the community firsthand.

The facility’s atmosphere reflects this vision. Soft lighting, quiet spaces, and personal touches are central to the environment. Instead of a high-energy setting, the Amadis have built something that invites stillness, reflection, and ease.

The couple’s emphasis on flexibility is also notable. Sessions can be structured as one-time visits, recurring programs, or co-branded activations. They’re open to collaboration with government offices, senior housing coordinators, wellness brands, or agencies looking to create more inclusive experiences for seniors. Their programming is built to integrate, not compete with existing structures.

For local businesses and media professionals, the launch of Heaven’s Hands Wellness also signals a new opportunity to highlight intergenerational support and community wellness. Event organizers may find value in the space as a location for panels or day events that serve families, older adults, or mental health conversations. Agencies and nonprofits working in the areas of aging, emotional wellness, or cultural preservation may also find alignment in the couple’s approach.

What makes the facility stand out is not just the services, but the story behind it. A married couple, driven by personal mission rather than trend. A focus on softness and sustainability, rather than scale. And a desire to work with—not around—those already serving the aging population.

As they prepare to open their doors, the Amadis are staying focused on the small things: the way a space feels when someone walks in, the importance of listening, and the value of presence. It’s this quiet philosophy that has already drawn interest from senior communities, churches, and local wellness partners.
