Your Sunday Plans Just Got Easier: A Free Food and Craft Festival in Downtown Silver Spring on July 19th
Veterans Plaza will host food vendors, handmade goods, live performances, and family activities during a free six-hour festival.
By early Sunday afternoon, Veterans Plaza will shift from a downtown walkway into a gathering place for food, shopping, and live entertainment.
The Silver Spring International Food & Craft Festival returns on July 19th from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. Admission is free.

Organizers say food vendors will serve dishes tied to different culinary traditions. Artists and makers are also expected to sell jewelry, clothing, artwork, crafts, and other handmade goods.
Music and cultural performances are planned throughout the day. Visitors can stop by for an hour or spend the afternoon moving between food stalls, vendor tables, and performances.
The festival is built around several smaller experiences rather than one headline attraction. A new dish, a handmade purchase, or a performance drawing people toward the stage may be what keeps someone at Veterans Plaza longer than planned.
A full vendor list and performance schedule were not available at publication time. The event is being promoted as family-friendly and pet-friendly and is scheduled to continue rain or shine.
The downtown location also gives visitors the option to pair the festival with nearby restaurants, shops, or other Sunday plans in Silver Spring.
